Pulse by Patrick Carman
In this dystopian/SciFi story, Faith Daniels discovers that she has special powers like some of the classmates do. Along with her friends, they're trying to avoid going into the unknown "states", especially after learning how and why they were created.
Faith decides to join the group of people with a "Pulse," her destiny is now sealed by this decision and she will have to fight for her life and for those that she loves the most.
I liked this dystopian novel, Patrick Carman describes how the world changed so drastically and how some people by an experiment, were born with special powers. If you like Science Fiction, you'll enjoy this series!
